The Aggie Men head to the "Mecca"
The Aggie Men head to Howard University (a.k.a the Mecca) this weekend, searching for a renewal of "faith" and confidence after losing to a South Carolina State team that many in Aggieland felt they should have beaten. Now the Aggies prepare to face the Howard Bison at 4PM on Saturday in the tough 2,700-seat Burr Gym.
The Bison, with their red white & blue colors, are dangerous in their own gym. They have already beaten the Presidential Brother-in-Law's team, Oregon State, earlier this season. Howard also seems to usually have the Aggies' number in DC.
Their fan poll ('which home basketball game are you most looking forward to?') shows that A&T is 3rd on the list behind Oregon & Hampton ( http://www.howard-bison.com/current?pollresults=view ). Maybe that's because of the many A&T alums who live in the area.
The question is which Aggie team will show up Saturday. Heck, which Howard team will show up? I can't call it.
The Aggies have balance and should win, but I do know that their search for "faith" and confidence will continue, win or lose.
